Colton Joint Unified School District
Keeping Students First ... Achievement, Equity, Wellness
Our Vision
In the Colton Joint Unified School District, we believe each student deserves the academic proficiency and skills necessary to thrive in college and in the global workforce to earn a living wage and be responsible, productive citizens. We will do this by providing engaging, challenging, and enriching opportunities and specialized programs in a safe environment in partnership with students, families, and our diverse communities.
Contextual Analysis
Our Vision lays out the skills and traits we believe each CJUSD student needs and deserves to have when they graduate from our schools. The priority areas represent where we believe we need to focus our efforts to reach that vision. The Contextual Analysis is a honest, detailed reflection by the team that drafted the CJUSD District Design Plan on where we were as a district at the beginning of this process and some of the history of how we got there. It is the context from which we began this process.
System Alignment
Through the work to build a coherent aligned system we need to assure our District Vision and the work we do with the Design Plan pillars work in concert with our LCAP goals, focused on improving and ensuring successful outcomes for our employees, students and the community we serve.
