• Citizen's Bond Oversight Committee Member Applications

The Board of Education of the Colton Joint Unified School District is seeking qualified, interested individuals to serve on a committee of community leaders, which will serve as the independent Citizens’ Oversight Committee (“COC”) for the implementation of the Measure G School Facilities Bond Program.

We are currently accepting applications to fill openings on our Measure G Citizens' Bond Oversight Committee.

The Committee's mission is to review expenditures to ensure they are within the scope of the measure and inform the public about the progress of bond-supported school construction projects. The Board-approved advisory committee meets four times per year.

Measure G is a $225 million school construction bond approved by voters in November 2008. Recent projects using Measure G funds include Grand Terrace High School, Joe Baca Middle School, the school math and science buildings at Colton High School and Bloomington High, and modernization projects at Grant, Lincoln, Crestmore, and Lewis elementary schools.

Completed applications must be received in the Assistant Superintendent of Business Services Office of the Colton Joint Unified School District, 1212 Valencia Drive, Colton, California 92324, or emailed to kasey_kubota@cjusd.net.
