• 26 Campuses: We have installed solar carports and canopies at 26 different sites, providing both clean power and much-needed shade for our students and staff.

• 60%+ Powered by Sun: On average, more than 60% of the electricity used across our campuses is generated on-site from clean, renewable energy.

• 6.1 Megawatts: The total capacity of our district-wide solar carports—one of the largest school solar footprints in the region.

• Smart Storage: We utilize Tesla Battery Storage at multiple high-demand sites to store solar energy and reduce our reliance on the grid during peak hours.

• 173,000 kWh Saved: The Joe Baca Middle School project alone saves enough energy to power 25 homes for an entire year.

Through partnerships with the California Energy Commission (CEC), we are transitioning to electric school buses to ensure our students have a cleaner, quieter, and zero-emission ride to school.
