• Career Technical Student Organizations (CTSO’s)

    A Career and Technical Student Organization (CTSO) is an extracurricular group for students in our district’s Career and Technical Education (CTE) to further their knowledge and skills by participating in industry-themed activities, events, and competitions.

    CTSOs are a valued instructional component utilized to teach leadership and interpersonal skills development for students in career technical education programs through:

    • Practicing and honing of hands-on skills
    • Connecting with health care professionals and potential employers
    • Competing in events to demonstrate their skills
    • Taking on leadership roles in the organization

    SkillsUSA is a partnership of students, teachers and industry working together to ensure America has a skilled workforce., SkillsUSA serves middle-school, high-school and college/postsecondary students preparing for careers in trade, technical and skilled service (including health) occupations. CJUSD’s SkillsUSA Chapter is located at Colton High School.

    Virtual Enterprises International offers programs that provide all students with authentic, collaborative, immersive business and entrepreneurial experiences.  Students fill departmental roles, mirroring real-world careers, engage in hands-on learning experiences inside and outside the classroom, and connect to various industries and cultures, learning the expectations of a global economy.  Bloomington High School students participate in VE.
