  • Dr. Frank Miranda became Superintendent of the Colton Joint Unified School District on January 1, 2020.

His most recent prior position was as CJUSD’s Assistant Superintendent of Business Services, where he and his team found new ways to support students and staff across the district. This included its managers working with Human Resources to facilitate the Classified Employee Academy, the Transportation Department’s numerous special projects to support kindness, literacy and holiday donation drives; and the expansion of Energy Management efforts to bring increased funding and awareness of our conservation efforts.

Dr. Miranda joined CJUSD in 2008 as the principal of McKinley Elementary School. He then subsequently served as director of Human Resources and later as director of Fiscal Services before being promoted to assistant superintendent. Earlier in his career, he was an elementary and middle school vice principal in San Bernardino, and a math and science teacher in Pomona.
