Going-Green
|
Going-Green is a quarterly newsletter that will be distributed electronically to increase energy conservation awareness to CJUSD.
What is 'Going-Green'? It can be a new or remodeled school that is environmentally friendly. It can be a school that infuses lessons into curriculum that helps students understand the importance of protecting our planet by creating less waste, conserving water, reducing energy or recycling. It can be any school/department that practices recycling and chooses environmentally friendly products.
Schools are the backbone of our future, and greening our learning institutions puts knowledge into the hands of those who will be driving our cities, our states and our country's future.

Focus on Character
|
During the 2007/2008 school year, the Colton Joint Unified School District embarked upon the development of a Strategic Plan to guide its operations over the course of the next five years. Six strategies were identified to assist in the accomplishment of the mission and objectives of the district.
One of the strategies written into the plan was focused on the development of positive character traits in our students that would ensure their success in school and in the future. The "Focus on Character" newsletter will be an on-going publication to keep CJUSD parents, students and employees informed on about our progress Strategy #6: Character.
