The Magnetic Attraction
The Colton Joint Unified School District's Magnet Program is committed to increasing educational opportunities for students. The Magnet Program at Terrace View Elementary promotes students' interest,
abilities and talents. Terrace View Elementary School offers the visual and
performing arts component that is curriculum-based, which means that instruction
in the disciplines of visual art, drama, music and dance is integrated in every
classroom with language arts, mathematics, social studies, science and physical
education.
Researchers have noted that magnet programs promote innovation in teaching and learning, increased parental involvement, greater student engagement, diverse student groups that, when added together, can lead to higher student achievement.

apply for 2010-2011 school year magnet program during the enrollment period
beginning January 4, 2010 through February 11, 2010.
